Why Do We Call This Paradise?

Florida Sunshine Beaches

About Our Area

We're located along the Gulf Coast, in an area referred to as "Southwest Florida." We have over 250 days of sunshine per year, and our average daytime temperatures in the "winter" months are in the low 70s. In summer, we average in the 90s during the day.

Our Communities

Close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the United States, you'll find our communities have everything to offer for families and people of all ages. Known for the arts, our communities have excellent educational options available (both public and private) and lots of housing options—from beachside condominiums to luxury apartments and high-end single family homes in gated communities.

Our offices are located in 2 cities, and living nearby either of them would put you only minutes away from a wide variety of restaurants, fantastic shopping, and an array of cultural experiences. With many dozens of county, state and natural parks, along with boating, fishing, and other water sports, the lifestyle here is truly unparalleled. Our area is home to a number of championship (and less challenging) golf courses. Bicycling, running, tennis, and other outdoor exercise options are typically available year-round.
Who Are We?

About our Practice

We are 4 physicians in a well-established practice that has been serving 2 closely-tied communities on the Gulf Coast of Florida for nearly 20 years.

The practice was originally established by a solo practitioner who hired one of us many years ago.  The founder has since retired, but one of us bought the practice from him after originally working under him for some time, and then hired one of the current partners.

Similarly, a separate practice was built by a solo practitioner who hired one of us. When the founder of that second practice reached retirement age, the three of us jointly purchased his practice and merged one of our other locations into it.  Not long ago, we added a fourth doctor.

Since then, our practice has continued to grow as fast as our ability to service it. Both offices are in beautiful, freshly-remodeled spaces.

We treat all aspects of the lower extremities. We are continually called upon to deal with limb salvage situations, and are deeply entrenched in the medical community referral loop. We are consulted on patients daily by orthopedics, vascular, and infectious disease, as well as family and internal medicine.  Therefore, a  passion for critical wound care and hospital work are an integral part of our practice.

The partners enjoy the full scope of hospital privileges at a number of area hospitals, two of which are designated as level 2 trauma centers. Many of our patients have been with us for years, through various stages of growth as we have added physicians.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of a 3-year surgical residency from a prestigious institution with nationally known attendings, must be board qualified or certified for rear foot and reconstructive ankle surgery, and have an active Florida license. Being involved with a fellowship will really get our attention, although depending upon your residency program, a fellowship is not required.

You must enjoy all aspects of podiatry—from routine podiatry to fracture care and trauma call and from hammertoe surgery to reconstruction of the ankle.  Our office work is steady, but our burgeoning need is hospital work for a high inpatient census. The days can be long, and we all rotate weekend call. An high-level competency in wound care and limb salvage is a must—from debriding of wounds to Charcot reconstruction.

If you were to join our practice, you would be warmly welcomed into our family and our community. This is a highly popular destination, with hundreds of families relocating here every year. It’s a wonderful place to live that we believe you will truly enjoy.

We would anticipate a start date by September 1, 2017.
